This project is my second choice project, and also the last project I made this semester. It is a large bowl. It has a narrow base, which leads into a large bowl, and a straight lip. There is a certain scale of how the usually smaller bowl is now made larger. There is also a distinct value in the use of light and dark colors. The most important skill I learned with this project is how to keep a bowl centered when I am making it on the wheel. My favorite thing about this project is how its my last project, and it shows my style of making projects, where I have a tall foot, a wide base, and straight walls and lips.

This is my second theme project. It is a bowl whose idea was to create a certain value in the combination of light and dark glazes. The bowl has a narrow foot, which widens into a medium sized bowl, and then has a straight lip at the top. The glazes are the use of light white, dark brown, and dark green. This project clearly shows a certain value in this combination. The project also show a distinct contrast in these light and dark colors. The most important skill I learned in in this project is how to combine many glazes effectively. My favorite part of this project is also that combination.
This project is my first theme project. I made the project as a normal bowl, with a narrow base, a wide bowl, and a straight lip. The glaze is white with black along two broken pieces in the top. However I also broke off two pieces of the project in order to create a distinct line where the viewer would immediately see the broken piece. There is also a certain value in the use of the dark black, and light white. The most important skill I learned with this project is how to use a situation to my advantage, such as the broken lip allowed me to make a very easy theme project. This is also my favorite part of the project, with the very clearly visible broken piece.
This is my set of three projects. In this case they all share a common glaze pattern, as well as all being similarly shaped bowls. In general, the bowls have narrow bases, which move out to make large bowls, that end with a sudden top, without any lip. The glaze is a light green on the sides, and light blue on the inside, and some white on the bottom of the walls of the projects. These project show a certain value in the difference between the green and blue, and light white. There is also a distinct color at the top of the projects, where the green and blue meet. The most important skill I learned with this project is how to make good, well centered projects more quickly. My favorite part about this project is how all the glazes are exactly the same.
This is my hand and wheel project. For this project I centered a small bowl on the wheel, then stopped the wheel to use my hands to bend the walls in order to create the unique shape. There is a certain space that can be seen between the bent wall of the project. There is also a distinct line that can be seen as the bent walls draw peoples' eyes to them. The most important skill I learned with this project is how to properly make a hand and wheel project , and not damage it. My favorite part about this project is the bent walls, and that the thickness and the top of the project were not damaged while I molded it.
This is my tall vase project. It has a narrow foot, which widens into the walls. The walls then narrow towards the top, and then frail out at the top. There is a certain value shown in the light and dark glaze colors on the project. This combination also shows a distinct color where they meet and form a line. The most important skill I learned with this project is that I need to remember to let projects dry slowly in order for them to not explode when put on the kiln shelf. My favorite part of his project is the nice choking I did at the top, with the frail at the end.
This project is my second very large bowl. It has a tall foot, which widens into a large bowl which flairs slightly at the top. the inside base has a small indents between the walls and base. There is a certain scale in the fact that the usually smaller bowl is now made very large. There is also a distinct shape in the fine line between the outer and inner walls at the top. The most important skill I learned with this project is how to make Large bowls centered. My favorite part of this project is the fact that I was able to center such a large bowl.
This project is a small green cup. It has a very narrow base, and a slightly wider top. The glaze is green on the outside, and white on the inside. There is a certain scale in how the cup that is normally larger, is now small. There is also a distinct color in the dark green glaze, and the white glaze. This also reflects value. The most important skill I learned with this project is how to make centered projects that are very small. My favorite part of this project is the the nice glaze combination of green and white.
This project is a medium sized lidded jar. It has a narrow base which widens, then curves in, and flairs out towards the end. The glaze was chosen at random, however it because too thick on the sides and ran down to the base. There is a specific value in the light white glaze next to the dark brown glazes. the color in the glaze also defines a line between the white and other color glazes. The most important skill I learned was how to create an inset lid for a project. My favorite part is how well the lid and body fit together.
This Frankenpot was never able to be finished, as it was destroyed during the fire in the kiln. For this frankenpot, I made the base, Ayianna made the top, and Addie made the middle.
